DESTINATION WEDDINGS

So much comes to mind when I think of destination weddings, where do you go what do you do, when do you go and who do you take with you? According to Travel US News the spots listed below are the top destination weddings locations of all time. Also, this list can also be a great destination for your honeymoon, or a friend get away family vacation or even a solo vacation just be safe.

I think the best way to dive into the topic of destination weddings, is that little trick we may have all learned in high school. The who-the what-the where-the when and the how. Let’s start with the who, who do you bring with you to your destination wedding? Now if you are having a very large wedding, let’s say over 125 people, do you invite every single person to the island of your choosing? I cannot imagine you would or would plan to coordinate 125 people to an island. But on the off chance you know someone who has, have them contact me, I have questions.

The who- planning a destination wedding Can be a lot of fun, just the excitement of it al, The warm climate being surrounded by family and friends, getting to walk in the sand. Being surrounded by water and all its healing properties. Which is why it’s usually best to bring only a few family members and your closest friends especially if you’re trying to capture the intimacy of your wedding. It’s less stressful, less of a headache less whatever, even if you have a very detailed orientated planner. Trust me, even with, you’ll hear of a few minor mishapps. So if you can, keep the guest list small, your wedding party, both sets of parents, maybe grandparents and then just a select few of closes family on both sides.

The what-  So what do you do even if you have a wedding planner you’ll still want to take time out with your fiance to visualize what type of ceremony and reception you want. Think of scrutiny you can, let’s say you want to have your ceremony facing the water. Or if you’re staying at the resort and just the reception is inside, or let’s say you want both the ceremony and reception inside of the resort’s facilities, what do these options look like for you. Or let’s say you are having your ceremony and reception on the beach, do you have minimum décor such as rose petals. Or have fabric lined chairs only matched with the gorgeous location view. There are so many options, so many wonderful ideas to think over and with the help of your wedding vendors such as myself it’ll all work out.

The when and how – The next one should be fairly obvious, What time of year should you plan your destination wedding? Well if you live in a region where you get winters and you don’t want to deal with winters definitely go when it’s going to be hot and sunny 80. Even if you live in an area where the temperature is usually at least tolerable year round like let’s say Florida but you want the view of the ocean, you want the beach, you want a little seclusion then by all means have your destination wedding at any time of the year. It doesn’t really matter when you plan your destination wedding, if having a destination wedding is something that’s important to you as a couple then go for it all of it. How do you do this, you contact your wedding planner or if you need to find one contact me and everything else will fall in place. Happy planning ❤️
