So what time do you REALLY need to get up on your wedding day?

Yup, gonna need a nap

So according to Brides.com “for the bride and a bridal party of four, we suggest starting to get ready four to five hours before the ceremony begins. This will provide ample time for hair, makeup, and photos.Jun 17, 2022″. So if your ceremony begins at 4pm, you’ll need to ensure you and your party are up around 11am. This seems pretty accurate especially if you have hired staff prepping your entire wedding.

Meaning, you have vendors setting up everything for your ceremony, vendors setting up everything for your cocktail hour and vendors setting up everything for your reception. Now, not only does this mean you get to truly enjoy being pampered on your wedding day but you get to move slowly and enjoy the small moments.

I have no worries today

I’ve worked with couples who for many reason, cost savings, smaller ceremony etc…enlist the assistance of family members to help pull together their ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. And THAT’S OK!!! Isn’t that what family is for?? Ok maybe, maybe not, I’ve worked with some brides who are working the day of their wedding. They are adding last minute touches to tables, defusing the tension between Uncle Al and Uncle Tito (twice removed). They are reorganizing seating, doing calligraphy on chalkboards, talking on 3 different phones to the maid of honor who’s running late, their soon to be spouse parent about last minute guest changes.

Whatever it is, the time you may need to get up could be as early at 7am or as late as 8:30am, but please whatever you have going on, don’t get up any earlier then 6am on your wedding day. Sleep in a little, it’s going to be a long day, exciting, fun, and full of love but a long day nonetheless. And if that’s where you currently find yourself, please give me a call. I want you to sleep in, even if it’s just an extra 30 minutes.
