Now, I believe that there are many variations of love that we get to experience throughout our life, love from a parent, love from your children, love from friends, even love from the people your work around. Love comes in many different forms, many different aspects and from many different people. How you love and receive love with the person your choosing to spend your life with, will no doubt be different then the love to and from family, friends and others.

This love will also vary depending on the type of relationship you have with the person. Since there are different aspects of love in which we give to people around us, it’s important to take note of a few loving concepts, such as, being in love, oh how sweet does that feel in and around us. Or, having love for someone which can apply to family, friends, co-workers, etc… having love for someone that you’re not necessarily romantically connected and sometimes love from a distance. Then there’s the universal favorite, simply saying, I Love You.

I mean, Whitney Houston sang about it in The Bodyguard ( written by Dolly Patron of course), it’s such an iconic moment when she’s running to the plane, in hopes of holding on to someone she fell in love with. Ok you’ve seen it, I could go on and on. If you haven’t seen it, please go watch it.

Now I love a great love story as much as the next romantic, it’s why I got into the wedding business as an wedding officiant. Most of all, I believe we all responsible for loving ourselves first, in the best way possible in order to truly love anyone else in any variation. Love can be inspiring, encouraging, supportive, a smile on your face, a single rose delivered to you by your favorite person. Love is growth, commitment, humor, fun, ever-evolving and healing. Be in love with you, love you and tell yourself you love you! And give love to others, they need it. I think that’s what love is and so many other wonderful things we see and feel.
