Did You Know – Candle Placement Matters?

So, you’ve got a candle (or, let’s be real, a small army of them). You’ve sniffed, you’ve swooned, and now… where do you put them? Because candle placement is an art, and if done right, it can turn your space into a cozy, fragrant dreamland. If done wrong? Well, you might just set off the smoke alarm mid-meditation. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen.

The Living Room – The Main Event

Your living room is where the magic happens—whether that’s hosting guests, binge-watching your favorite series, or curling up with a book. A candle (or three) in this space should be equal parts mood-setting and statement-making.

🔥 Best Spot: Centerpieces on coffee tables, nestled on bookshelves, or gracing the mantle—high enough to admire, low enough to not burn your eyebrows. Bonus points for a stylish tray to keep things looking chic!

🚫 Avoid: Right under the TV (we want ambiance, not glare) or next to anything flammable.

The Bedroom – The Cozy Sanctuary

Personally, my bedroom is MY FAVORITE place to unwind, light some candles and chill out. Your bedroom deserves a scent that whispers, relax and unwind, darling. Think lavender, vanilla, or soft woods. This is where candlelight works its most seductive magic—romantic, dreamy, and oh-so-glowy.

🔥 Best Spot: Bedside tables (because who doesn’t love a little candlelit journaling?) or dresser tops for that twilight glow.

🚫 Avoid: Too close to your pillows or bedding unless you’re into spontaneous combustion chic.

The Bathroom – Your Mini Spa

A candle in the bathroom? Mandatory. Nothing says self-care like a flickering flame and a warm bath infused with your favorite scent. Think eucalyptus for that spa vibe or citrus for a fresh, clean feel.

🔥 Best Spot: Around the bathtub (hello, luxury), on the sink counter, or on a floating shelf where it won’t get knocked into the sink.

🚫 Avoid: Balancing on the edge of the toilet. Just… no.

The Kitchen – The Scented Dilemma

My very own table placement

Your kitchen is already full of aromas—some heavenly (fresh-baked cookies), others… less so (burnt toast, anyone?). The key here? Choose wisely. Skip the overly floral and go for something complementary like citrus, herbs, or even a subtle vanilla to balance out food smells.

🔥 Best Spot: Kitchen islands, countertops, or near the dining table for an inviting glow.

🚫 Avoid: Right next to the stove. Fire + fire? Not the best plan.

Bonus Tips for Candle Placement Mastery:

✔️ Use candle holders or trays to keep wax spills at bay.
✔️ Group candles in odd numbers for a visually pleasing display.
✔️ Mix different heights and sizes to create dimension.
✔️ Trim your wicks before each burn—because soot is not the vibe.
✔️ Never leave a burning candle unattended (seriously, don’t be that person).

Now go forth, place your candles like the home décor genius you are, and bask in the glow of your perfectly curated ambiance. Because life’s too short for bad candle placement. ❤️
